The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency stated it's alarmed in regards to the substantial amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The support stage created for intervention activities a substantial influx of potential sassa status check beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
